The capital of Germany and one of the
greatest cities in all of Europe is Berlin.
The city of Berlin is not only the heart of
Germany but is also the heart and soul of
the world of classical music. Berlin is a big
city with an unlimited amount of sights,
sounds and culture to experience.

The Barelli Circus is in town and has set
up its big tent in the southern part of
Berlin near the U Bahnhof subway station
named Oskar Helene Heim, which is also
not far from the US Embassy.
Sights
You cannot visit Berlin without witnessing
the symbol of the city, which is
undoubtedly Brandenburger Tor. This is
the last remaining gate of Berlin and it also
serves as a monument and memoral to the
history of this former split city. In order to
reach Brandenburger Tor you can take
either the S-Bahn train or the bus to
Unter den Linden. If you are travelling
from the Tegel airport then simply take a
bus to Zoologischer Garten then another
bus to Unter den Linden. Another amazing
sight to see in Berlin is Wannsee. Wannsee
is found in the far southern part of Berlin
near the neighboring city of Potsdam.
Wannsee has a wonderful set of beautiful
lakes that will make you feel as though
you have left the city all together. Take
one of boat tours around the lake at
around 8 euros per person to get a great
view of glorious natural surroundings. The
boat tours however are all in German to
my knowledge but understanding them is
not a necessity. You will find the mere
beauty of the areas shown by the tour is
well worth the money.
Sounds
If you love classical music, opera or ballet
then Berlin is perfect town for you. Berlin
has some of the best orchestras in the
whole world. For a pretty penny you can
experience one of these mind blowing
symphonies. The symphony hall is located
near Potsdamer Platz in the center of
town. At the Staats Oper, which is
situated on Unter den Linden street as
well, you may take part in an excellent
opera or ballet.
Culture
The german culture and history can
perhaps be best experienced through a
