Travel Guide to Paris
Paris is considered by many to be the capital of Europe and one of the greatest cities in the world. There are literally millions of things to do and see in Paris so you will certainly never be bored. In a city with more than 2 million people Paris lives up to its high reputation. Some of the best museums, restaurants, buildings and parks can be found in the enormous city.
Sights
If you only have the chance to see one thing in the glorious city of Paris, France then I strongly suggest you go to the Louvre. The Musee du Louvre is easily the world's most amazing museum and probably the biggest as well. There is literally something for every kind of art lover whether it be renaissance paintings or Greek architecture the Louvre has it all. Another wonderful sight that you won't want to miss is the Basilique du Sacre Coeur. This breathtaking church looks like something out of a Disney fairy tale as it lies on top of a hill called Butte de Montmartre. Now, I'm sure the first thing every tourist wants to do is head directly to the Eiffel Tower (which is better seen at night) and then perhaps to Notre Dame but please make time for the first two previously mentioned sights as I'm certain you will not regret it.
Weather
Paris has a strange type of weather pattern as strong can suddenly fall at the most random time imaginable. The winter can get pretty cold with temperatures ranging around 37 degrees Fahrenheit (3 degrees Celsius) and in the summer it can jump to the 90s (30 Celsius).
Transportation
While inside the city boundaries I highly recommend that you take advantage of the outstanding public transportation system in Paris, most notably the subway. Many say it is the best in the world because it is both dependable and easy to use. There is literally a metro station located every few blocks so it should not be a problem for you to find one. If you are having any difficulty then simply ask someone or just look for the large "M" as it will lead you there.
Paris is definitely one of the best cities on Earth so no matter what you decide to do on your trip there I'm sure it will be a magical experience.
